]]>Rooted in ancient Celtic traditions, Beltane is a festival of fertility, fire, and renewal. It is a time when the veil between the worlds is thin, allowing us to tap into the mystical forces of nature and harness their transformative power. At Beltane, we honor the sacred union of the masculine and feminine energies, symbolized by the union of the May Queen and the Green Man, representing the fertile earth and the life-giving sun.
One of the central themes of Beltane is transformation—the process of growth, change, and renewal that is inherent in the cycle of life. Just as the earth awakens from its slumber and bursts forth with new life, so too are we called to awaken to our own potential and embrace the endless possibilities that lie before us.
Beltane reminds us that transformation is not always easy or comfortable. It requires us to let go of the old and embrace the new, to surrender to the fires of change and allow ourselves to be reborn from the ashes. It is a time to release that which no longer serves us and make space for the seeds of new beginnings to take root and flourish.
In the midst of the maypole dances, bonfires, and feasting, Beltane offers us an opportunity for deep inner reflection and personal growth. It is a time to connect with the elemental forces of nature and tap into our own inner fire—the spark of divinity that resides within each of us. By aligning ourselves with the rhythms of the earth and the cycles of the seasons, we can harness the transformative energy of Beltane to ignite our passion, awaken our creativity, and manifest our deepest desires.
As we celebrate Beltane this year, let us embrace the magic of transformation and step boldly into the next chapter of our journey. Let us dance around the maypole with joy in our hearts, knowing that with each step we take, we are moving closer to becoming the fullest expression of ourselves. And let us honor the sacred union of the divine masculine and feminine within us, recognizing that it is through the balance and harmony of these energies that true transformation occurs.
May this Beltane be a time of profound growth, healing, and rebirth for us all. Blessed be.

]]>Last Scorpio Season, I was out hiking with my boyfriend, on one of the many mountain trails in Colorado. On our way out, we were driving around enjoying the scenery, and I noticed something strange. It looked like several of the trees were full of giant cobwebs. I couldn’t help but be reminded of the “Darkness Falls,” episode of X-files with the deadly tiny insects that looked like little neon green spiders.
“X-Files: Darkness Falls.”

It sent a chill up my spine. I pointed it out to my boyfriend, who was equally bewildered. We wondered if it was the result of tree spiders or silkworms or something else altogether. As we continued our journey home, we continued to see more trees with this strange phenomenon. Finally, we stopped to try to get up close and see what had us so unsettled. Still confused by whatever was in the trees, I took a picture. I looked at the picture, and I was unable to make any sense of what I was looking at on my phone.
Almost a full year later, I pulled up this picture as I was editing old photos on my phone. After a year of intense transformations and purging, it finally became clear what was in the photo. It wasn’t cobwebs or the result of silkworms or any insect.
Lo and behold, it was simply the remnants of flowers that had gone to seed. Upon further investigation, I discovered these were clematis seed heads, nothing more nothing less. Isn’t it strange how even just a year’s time can drastically change our perspective? What was once creepy, and unsettling, is now quite silly.
Considering how clematis made itself known to me, it is no wonder that it symbolizes mental prowess, wisdom, and ambition. It tested whether I was paying close attention to my environment or not; it bestowed upon me a wise lesson on perspective, and it reminded me to continue to reach towards my goals and aspirations. This plant is truly sharp and wise.

As we enter Scorpio Season, I leave you with something to ponder over. How is your current circumstances and mindset affecting your perspective on life and the future? How are you viewing the dark times to come?
Are you looking towards winter with dread and apprehension? Do you find yourself unsettled by this season of death? Or perhaps, do you see this as an opportunity to slow down and reconnect with yourself and your ancestors?
Remember, the days are shortening, and the veil is thinning as we draw closer to Samhain and Yule. You can take this time to rest, recover, and go deep within yourself or you can choose to grieve the end of summer. The choice is yours.
Blessed be, and I hope you have a wonderful Samhain/Halloween!

]]>Personally, Samhain is very special to me as a witch and as an individual. For starters, I was born on the original date of Samhain, when the sun enters fifteen degrees Scorpio. In addition, the sign of Scorpio deeply embodies the themes of Samhain, because it rules death, rebirth, the occult, and many other dark mysterious energies. As a Scorpio, I am constantly being presented with these themes in my day-to-day life. Not only that, my birthday and Solar Return directly follow Halloween/Samhain. This means my life is renewed each year, after I’ve decided what I need to release. I find this to be a perfect set up for coming into the New Year. Plus, fall is my favorite season, and Halloween/Samhain is my favorite holiday.
For me, Samhain is a deep and powerful time. I’ve seen certain themes repeat year after year. First, I usually experience a combination of deep rest and grieving. Here, I let go of everything including expectations and dreams. I grieve lost relationships, and missed or stolen opportunities. Yet, I rest as I sit with my grief. There is a surprising amount of relief, when I accept the weight of my disappointment. In addition, I dive deep into the mysteries. I become more involved in mediation and divination. I explore my subconscious, & I struggle against the chains of my limitations. Here, I come to unravel limitations, so I can see through their illusion.
This year seems particularly powerful. I’ve discovered a format for working through these deep and murky waters: transform, create, destroy. There’s a lot I want to change in my life right now, but the theme for transformation appears to revolve around relationships. This makes sense, considering the new moon was in Libra. To begin with, I want to work on my relationship to myself. My mental and emotional health has suffered quite a lot in the last couple months. I really want to find a healthy balance with myself. Next, I want to create better relationships in general. I’m really struggling with healthy partnerships, and I want to be able to feel good in my relationships. Another relationship I struggle with is in regards to money. Even writing about my relationship with money, I am filled with anxiety. Obviously, it really needs to be improved.
In terms of creating and what I have brewing for the coming year, I’m focused on empowering choices. To start, I’m working towards building an emotional foundation for myself. It’s very hard for me to feel safe in my body. How can I expect myself to expand and grow, if I’m always stressed and terrified? Therefore, I’m focused on creating an emotional safe space. The goal is to meditate everyday for a year. This way I can learn to relax, and I will be more capable of coping with stressful situations. This will also force me to work on creating better boundaries. I have a tendency to let people walk all over me, and I get dragged into everyone else’s drama. I need to learn to stand up for myself and set limits with other people. In addition, I really want to tap into my inner fearlessness. This year I really want to push myself past my limits. I have lived a life full of fear, and the only way out is to move through it. I am sick of feeling paralyzed!
What do I need to destroy? This year I want to “kill” off my inner victim. I’ve had to face my victim mentality, in the past, but I think it’s time to pull it out by the roots. One of the root causes is passivity and apathy. A lot of the time, I choose to do nothing. I’m not willing to face things head on, so I ignore it or I stop caring. I’m pretty done with inaction. Another problem that contributes to victim hood is straight up avoiding it and my escapism tendencies. It’s time I stop burying my problems under distractions like Facebook, television, and video-games. It’s time to face reality head on. Lastly, I need to stop giving into being helpless and hopeless. I need to stop thinking I have no control of my life, because it’s a lie. I can face problems, confrontation, and fear. I can make better choices, and I’m ready for that change.
These are the issues I’m facing this Samhain. What issues are you facing this time of year? Answer in the comments below! Try out my Samhain Transformation Formula Below:

]]>Self-love should be at the front of our minds, when Beltane draws near. It is important to be gentle and kind to oneself at any time of the year, but it is essential in April. April is ruled by the God of War Aries. I personal believe Bel and Aries to be one and the same. Aries is fiery, which can be used for good or bad. Aries may represent war, but he also represents the fiery passion of our sexuality.
It is important to connect with one’s sexuality at this time, whether with ourselves or with another. Healthy sexuality is a form of self love. It allows us to bring pleasure to ourselves and others. I feel it is time we embrace our sacred sexuality as a collective. Sacred sexuality represents many things. It is the source of our personal power, it is the connection to ourselves, it is the connection to another, and it is a connection to Source. Sacred sexuality is a divine gift given to Mankind from the Gods.
I encourage you to open to yourself at this time. Open now as the Goddess does to her consort. Open to everything you are in this human form. Look into the darkest sides of your sexuality without judgement. Touch every tender part of yourself with complete acceptance. Marvel at the beauty and strength of your body. Understand that you have been blessed to live within this body. Open yourself to complete self-love and acceptance. You are nothing less than sacred. Now open yourself further. Reach out to the Universe, to the Gods with your heart open. Let yourself be filled with love and compassion for the Earth and all her creatures. Here you are connected to the Divine. Whenever you feel alone, know that the love you crave is always available within your own heart. <3 Blessed be.
