Many people do not believe in astrology, because they believe it indicates that we as a species lack free will. Throughout my lifetimes, I have come to understand that we have free will to a certain extent. It should be evident that there are areas of our lives, where we have little or no control. I believe that we choose our life circumstances, before we are born. However, our free will, once we are born, is severely limited. Astrology has always been a part of my life. My mother was an astrologer for a least a decade or two, before I was ever born. She had some understanding of me and my life, but she didn’t even fully comprehend the significance of my chart.
My experiences have shown me the limits of willpower and intellect. I find that many of us, especially indigos or other highly sensitive individuals, suffer from a great deal of criticism and expectation. We may have had so much going for us, but we almost always fall short of expectation. Why is this? Why are some people ambitious and others apathetic? Why do some succeed and some fail? People will tell you it is a flaw of character or a lack of effort. However, it is much more complex than that. Astrology gives us a window into the reasons why life plays out a certain way.
Astrology is not merely a glimpse at our personality or life; it is the whole picture. Astrology shows the circumstances we navigate throughout our life, the roles others play, our personalities or temperments and ever-shifting mood swings. More importantly, astrology plays a huge part in the timing of life events. There is a wealth of knowledge around the phases of life we move through and how this is shown in astrology, but there is also timing for success and failure. For instance, Saturn is about aspects of our lives that are denied or come to us over TIME through hard work. Before you were born, it was determined what will come easily to you and what will not.
This is why it is important not to judge yourself. You are the way that you are for VERY specific reasons. This lifetime may have been particularly difficult for you, but it is important to learn to embrace your flaws. There are a lot of aspects in your life that are out of your control, but you can learn to love yourself and find happiness. You may not become a billionaire today or maybe even in this lifetime, but you are still needed and still worthy. Be patient and compassionate with yourself. The path is already laid out, you just need to walk it.
This leads us to the next lesson. You need to learn to TRUST. There is a path, a way forward, and a plan. You need to release fear and the need to control everything. Your higher self, the Universe, and the Divine have a plan for you and your life. You just need to get up and go live it. It may not be perfect or “Instagram worthy,” but it will be worth it. This is your life and your destiny. There is no use turning away from it, because it is all you have on this plane of existence. Learn to embrace all of it, and you will obtain more wisdom than you ever thought possible.
You may be wondering where fate, destiny, and free will collide and depart, when it comes to astrology. Fate represents everything that is out of your control and that will happen no matter what you do. A lot of astrology represents fate. It shows your circumstances, life events, and inner-emotional nature. However, some of your astrology chart shows your destiny. In this sense, destiny is your highest level of expression. Unlike fate, destiny requires active participation on your part. You must CHOOSE to follow and embrace your destiny. This is part of free will. Free will is how you respond to your fate. You can resist your fate or you can choose to surrender to it. This is how you flow with the Universe and embrace your destiny.
One may wonder how to surrender to fate without becoming apathetic and/or depressed. How can we stop resisting and reacting, when life is so incredibly difficult and painful? This can be done through embodying and channeling different archetypes, especially those associated with the zodiac and specific to our individual natal charts. This is a process of soul integration. We each came to this earth to embody and ground a very specific energy pattern and vibration. Only you have the power to channel your specific energy pattern. Our bodies and souls are channels for cosmic energies that we may never fully comprehend. You are an expression of cosmic vibration and sacred geometry. This is the purest form of your true nature and purpose in this lifetime. By discovering and embodying your cosmic vibration, you open the gateways to your soul evolution, destiny, purpose, and manifestation abilities.
There is so much written about the importance of self-mastery and “knowing thyself,” but so few people understand that astrology is an important key to self-discovery. Everything you judge about yourself shows up in your astrology chart with meaning and explanation. There are answers to the questions you seek. However, you may not always like the answers you receive. Many struggles in our astrology charts are karmic and linked to other lifetimes. The difficulties we face are often the result of karmic debts, especially those related to fate.
