Scorpio New Moon October 2019

This new moon is in Scorpio, which is ruled by Pluto. This is a new moon about setting intentions related to depth, sex, intimacy, the occult, and transformation. Scorpio is all about the dark, scary and messy process of transformation. It is time to get deep, real, and serious. Scorpio doesn’t play around. Scorpio is about facing our shadow aspect. This is the time of year to travel into the darkness to see what is lurking beneath the surface. It is no wonder Scorpio corresponds to the time around Halloween! This holiday has its roots in the Celtic holiday known as Samhain. Samhain was originally celebrated, when the sun was at fifteen degrees Scorpio. (This is around the 7th of November, and it depends on the year). Scorpio has a lot to do with death and the spirit world, so it makes sense that the veil is thinnest in the middle of Scorpio season. Scorpio also relates to trauma, especially when that trauma is buried and later triggered from the deep. However, it has to deal with personal power as well. Unfortunately, Scorpio can also deal with control, power struggles, and domination.
This new moon is exactly opposite Uranus. Expect the emotional dam to break and for deep trauma to be triggered. This could be brutal. Uranus has a tendency to break what it touches and create the unexpected. It is a perfect representation of the Tower card in Tarot, especially when opposing deep, sensitive, and traumatic Scorpio. Wherever the pressure has been on that pressure is about to become unbearable. Something is going to break. This could cause deep trauma or be profoundly healing and transformative. If you have been waiting for a break, it is coming. However, it may not manifest as expected. Something deep inside us is about to break and be transformed in a deep, spiritual way. This new moon isn’t likely to be comfortable or easy. However, this moon will likely be memorable for lifetimes to come. This can represent a great spiritual awakening. If you have been seeking a profound transformation, it may find you now. This is perfect for setting intentions around overcoming and transforming trauma. You may be broken open in a deep and meaningful way. This could be a time where you feel that you have been “touched by God”. You can find the Divine, if you can lean into your pain and trauma. Great healing is possible now. This new moon is also trine the north node and sextile the south node. This means that we have a significant opportunity for soul evolution and resolution of karma at this time.
Since Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, any aspects to Pluto are important. During this new moon, Pluto sextiles the Venus/Mercury conjunction in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces. This indicates that we can make significant soul progress and heal through deep, intimate relationships and conversations. Pluto is giving us an opportunity to transform our relationships in a deep and profoundly spiritual way. Love affairs are likely to be passionate and intense at this time. If we can have deep and real conversations in love we will be able to transcend the issues we have been facing. Jupiter is semi-sextile Pluto, which provides an opportunity for abundance, growth, and expansions through transformation. If we can harness Pluto’s transformative abilities, we can receive luck, abundance, and enlightenment.
Mars co-rules Scorpio, so aspects to Mars are also important. Mars is in Libra, during the new moon. Libra is all about relationships. This indicates needing to work with others in order to achieve our goals. Our actions must be balanced, and we must be willing to compromise. This could also mean that we are really focused on a romantic relationship. This would not be surprising considering that Venus is in Scorpio conjunct Mercury. It is likely for there to at least be intense discussions around relationships. Mars is inconjunct Neptune. This means that we may be irritated by the need to compromise, because we feel we may have to sacrifice some of our ideals.
Saturn is square Mars and sextile Neptune. This indicates that we can manifest our ideals or dreams, but we must be patient and compromise. We will have to work long and hard in order to manifest our ideals. Our dreams are possible, but they will not come easily. We will have to work with others, and this can be irritating at times. Saturn is sitting on the South Node, so our ideals and the actions we take with others is in line with fate. However, the timing of manifestation is held off for now, due to karmic debts and authority figures.
In general, this new moon signifies a time of deep spiritual awakening that will force us to compromise in order to progress. We will be broken open, so we may find the divine. Relationships will be intense and transformative at this time. There is an opportunity to grow and work towards our ideals. Through working with others we come one step closer to our vision.
